"Wright Runstad Corporation, Seattle's Premier Business Developer"
Assignment...
Wright Runstad has built many of Seattle's best-known landmark office buildings. They needed a single impactful image incorporating ten buildings for a national print advertising campaign designed by AD Judy Simpson at Hinton and Steele. Sounds easy, I thought. Before I left the meeting the client mentioned that I had to use ten existing images shot over an eleven-year period in all different weather and daylight conditions. They would all have to be digitally reworked to appear as if shot the same day just after sunrise.
I was humbled instantly.
Solution...
Once scanned, the ten images were sillouhetted and grouped to form a mock skyline. The client liked the mixed perspepctives. Then, each building was given similar interior lighting and sky reflections. Each had to also reflect the building next to it in the layout! Over ninety windows and several trees were digitally rebuilt to idealize the landscape, day lighting and office window realism.
The sky was then added in without clouds to allow the text blocks to be more easily read.
