About Dave I'm a Seattle-based photographer, illustrator and educator who has spent the past 27 years creating compelling images and assemblages for clients, collectors, institutions and public installations worldwide. Since 2001, I've taught Photography, Photoshop and Lightroom at several top workshop destinations, including Santa Fe Workshops, Maine Media Workshops, Anderson Ranch Arts Center, Lepp Digital Institute, La Luz Phototec, Bald Head Island Arts Center and at Adobe Inc. I've also enjoyed leading travel workshops in Cuba, Costa Rica, The Netherlands, and on luxury small-ship adventure cruises in Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico. I consult on photographic accessories and software development, and am an adjunct faculty member at University of Washington and Seattle Creative Academy. To share my ideas, I've published in articles in AfterCapture, Nikon World, Outside, Geo, Islands, Conde Nast Traveller, Audubon, Outdoor Photographer, Digital Photo Pro, Rangefinder, Shots, Lürzer’s Archive, FUJILove, This Week in Photo, Digital Photography School, Digital Photography Review, and in national news magazines. My stock images are represented by Getty. When not immersed in my home studio lined with favorite objects and too many camera bags, I travel and kayak with partner Jill, explore nature and anything abandoned, rusted and inviting. Enough about me. Who are you, What feeds your soul?
